On June 24th, 2nd international conference was held for primary healthcare development at hotel Biltmore. This conference will support the primary healthcare system to function in an organized and highly qualified manner.
The audience was addressed by medical representatives from Georgia and various European countries.
Under the scope of the conference, Groningen University Clinic professor, Dutch Lipidologist- Peter Lansberg presented the updates regarding lipid metabolism pathologies and their management for Georgian physicians.
Tartu University Family Medicine faculty professors- Ruth Kalda and Anneli Rätsep discussed Estonian model of primary healthcare and their view of managing a chronic polyprofile patient. The conference also included discussions of relevant issues in primary healthcare, such as: cardiovascular system pathologies, angiology, updated recommendations for antenatal monitoring, uterine cervical pathologies, oncologic screening programs, endoscopy-related diagnostic issues for primary healthcare physicians, relevant pediatric pathologies, new information on rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

International conference is accredited by the Regulatory Agency for Medical Activities and its participants received credit-points for Continuous Medical Education.
